Pyrex Princess is a song performed by Azealia Banks. It serves as the seventh track on Azealia second studio album, Business & Pleasure. It was released on August 25, 2018, as the first promotional single of the album.
Background[]
The first known verse was originally a freestyle, but AB added it to a new song previewed on January 28th.
On August 22, 2018, Azealia Banks revealed a snippet of what would be the song claiming that it belonged to Fantasea II with Chi Chi, on August 25 of the same year the song was on all the music platforms but soon after lifted the track (Probably to re-work it). Later, on March 19, 2019, Pyrex Princess and Chi Chi appeared on the official Business & Pleasure tracklist for which they were discarded from Fantasea II. In Late May 2020, Azealia confirmed on instagram that Dave East was meant to be featured on the song but he never recorded or sent Azealia his verse.
On December 15, 2019, Azealia declared through its Instagram stories that the new versions of Pyrex Princess and Count Cotessa would be released before the end of the year. Later, on December 25, 2019, the track was re-published and serves as a promotional single for the album.
